| Now there is only one step left, and that is to switch suppliers, assuming you found one that will give you savings. If you didn't, just do nothing and you will stay with your current company. Then keep watching to see if any new offers come out that will save you money. If you are changing suppliers, the process is simple. Make sure you have the following: your current "price to compare", your "rate code", and your "16 digit account number". Call the company you wish to switch to. They will take your information and sign you up. They will send you out any paperwork you need to complete, and they will take care of notifying your current company of your change. Your current company will send you a letter notifying you of your right to "rescind". This letter gives you 7 days to change your mind about switching. If you desire, during this period you may call them and have them cancel your change. Otherwise, after January 1, and after your next meter reading, you will be a customer of the new company.
