| (this is an example only) Your current "price to compare" 4.595/cents per Kwh (from your current supplier) Move the decimal 2 spaces left \$0.04595/Kwh (this changes it from cents to dollars) Multiply by the Kwh used on bill x750/Kwh Equals your current cost of generation $ 34.36 Do the same for each offer you consider ABC Electric "offered price" 3.500/cents per Kwh Move decimal place 2 spaces left $0.03500/Kwh Multiply by Kwh used on bill x750/Kwh Equals cost with prospective supplier $ 26.25 The difference would be your savings Current cost $ 34.46 With them - $ 26.25 Savings $ 8.21 Do this with each supplier til you find the one that gives you the most savings! |
